The Canyon Theatre Guild Proudly Presents ‘That Lovin’ Feelin’ – A jubilant jukebox musical that plays like a love song to the Righteous Brothers

by | Jul 1, 2016 | Old Town Newhall

The Canyon Theatre Guild proudly presents That Lovin’ Feelin’, a musical biography chronicling the remarkable Righteous Brothers’ life story and highlighting their fabulous and unforgettable songs. Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield were just a couple of Orange County boys who got together at a high school dance, and went on to become music icons — and the decades have proved the duo’s durability. Now, James A. Zimmerman’s musical “That Lovin’ Feelin’,” in its 2nd West Coast premiere at the Canyon Theatre Guild, refamiliarize’s audiences with the Righteous Brothers’ legacy.
The play dives deeply into their struggles, as well as the amazing relationship these two performers had for more than forty years. Musically, each song is an unforgettable classic — rousing stuff that will set toes tapping, featuring over 20 hits like “Little Latin Lupe Lu,” “Justine,” “Unchained Melody,” and of course the song that inspired the title, “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin.”
