It’s Getting Hot in Here!
Summer is here, is your car’s air conditioning keeping you cool? With summer heat bearing down, your car’s air conditioner system will be under serious strain. A car’s air-conditioner system does not just blow cold air into the car but is designed to remove the hot air from within the vehicle cabin and dispel it outside your car. This is done by your air-conditioner system relying on a number of components to operate effectively. This being the evaporator, condenser and compressor. All of these parts are prone to wear and servicing does help protect them from breaking down. But, if you have not had your car serviced in some time… well then it is time!
A newer car may be able to get away with having their air conditioning recharged but an older car or truck may require a little extra attention. If your car doesn’t seem to be as cool as it used to be but it is still blowing cold then your system may need to be recharged. You will need to see your car technician as it is best to have a qualified car professional check your system. Your car technician will measure the amount of pressure in your system and if it is low they will add enough to the reading within your manufacturer specifications. Your car will run for a few minutes with the A/C on high and they will use a special thermometer to measure the system’s output. If it is not within the required limits then you just may have a leak in your A/C system. Never fear this can be repaired and you will be back on the road again.
