S.T.E.M. For the Future Generation

 S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are now common standards for the future generation. Children these days are learning more about S.T.E.M. at an early age to be prepared for fast growing technology-based industries. At Bricks 4 Kidz, it is our goal to introduce engineering and architecture, to explore S.T.E.M. principles through lessons and building motorized models, to develop social/emotional skills, enhance self-esteem, improve fine and gross-motor skills, and so much more!
Did you know that S.T.E.M. and engineering bachelor degrees grew only 19 percent from 2009 to 2013 or that engineering has the highest median earnings yet less than 20 percent of students choose a S.T.E.M. path? It is projected that by 2018, 92 percent of S.T.E.M. jobs will require at least some post-secondary education and training! Jobs in computer systems and jobs that require S.T.E.M. knowledge are growing! That is why it is important that children get a head start!
Introduce your child(ren) to S.T.E.M. by encouraging them to actively participate in their own learning, to play and investigate, to utilize their natural energy and to get a more hands-on experience. “Research shows that these best practices lead to better school participation and achievement in the long term, increased likelihood of completing a four-year bachelor degree and increased employment.”
Bricks 4 Kidz specializes in teaching S.T.E.M. principles to children through motorized LEGO® Bricks! It is our motto that we Learn, we Build and we Play with LEGO® Bricks! We Learn through interactive discussions ranging from different topics like renewable energy, laws of motion, amazing animals etc. We Build motorized models that correlate to each theme and We Play!
We strongly believe that what we do provides the necessary skills for children to get a hands-on experience with S.T.E.M. So much so that we incorporate these into all our programs such as After School Enrichment classes, Birthday Parties, Camps and more!
