A Parent’s Perspective
August may be late summer, but it’s a new beginning for students all over the Santa Clarita Valley, including preschool. If you’re a parent looking for the right fit for your child, you probably feel a little overwhelmed and a lot of pressure. I know because I was that parent, three times over. Each child is different and has different needs and unique personalities, so how do you find a school that fits not just one, but multiple individuals? You look for a school that recognizes and embraces all types of children and learning. The minute I walked in, I knew Beth Shalom was right for us. Not only was it clearly a warm and loving environment, where I felt my children would be in the best hands, it focused on learning in a variety of different ways, including art, singing, and even a bit of traditional academics (age appropriate of course). So now that my third child is going into the Pre-K program after two amazing years of growth, I am confident that she will be prepared for Kindergarten, cognitively, behaviorally, emotionally, and socially. And the best part? When she says, “Mommy I want to go to school and see my friends and Teacher Kat and Teacher Carol.” What more could I ask for?
If you want to visit and see if CBS Preschool may be right for your child, just pick up the phone and call the director, Carol Bloom at 661-254-2411 for a tour.
