What can you do to help your child compete?
1. It’s up to you, the supportive parent to encourage your child to build skills on a regular basis. This means taking group classes, private coaching and practicing regularly, so their skills stay sharp.
2. It’s up to your as a supportive parent to make sure that your child is known to as many casting offices as possible by bringing your talented child to agent and casting director workshops to trumpet your child’s successes.
3. When pilot season is here and your agent has over 1,000 kids to represent, you can’t let them forget your child. Take proactive action by keeping your child on the top of the casting director’s desk by establishing strong relationships in workshops and by keeping in touch.
4. It means that you, the supportive parent must network with other parents and share information to build your own network of parents to help each other.
5. Maintaining a strong team around your child is essential. The team should consist of supportive friends and relatives, an agent, manager, and coach.
