Impress Your Friends and Be A Cool Hostess!
Wow, has this summer been hot! And the weather is getting even hotter and hotter as the days pass. Who wants to turn the oven on to make a fancy dessert? How about a fancy mousse pie?
It will impress your friends and family and you will still be a cool hostess.
From the grocery store, purchase a pre-made graham cracker crust, they come in vanilla and yummy chocolate. From Clarice’s you will need to purchase Pastry Pride (non-dairy whipped cream), along with a pre-made filling flavor of your choice. We carry strawberry, raspberry, lemon, cherry, Bavarian creme, and Chocolate that would be my choice! Using an electric mixer, whip the Pastry Pride to stiff peaks. Reserve two cups of the pre-whipped Pastry Pride for the topping of our mousse. Fold several heaping tablespoons of the filling of your choice into the remaining pre-whipped Pastry Pride until well blended… oh darn, at this point you will have to taste it! Fill the pie shell with your mousse. With a rubber spatula, cover the mousse with the reserved two cups of whipped Pastry Pride. Now let your creative juices flow… drizzle with chocolate, chopped nuts, fresh fruit, or colorful sprinkles to enjoy!
Clarice’s offers classes in cake decorating candy making and cookie decorating for adults as well as children, and carry supplies for the home decorator as well as the professional.
