Celebrity Sightings – September 2016
They’ve been spotted! Some of Tinseltown’s best and brightest stars have been found in Santa Clarita Valley, and we’ve got their photos for all to see.
First up is Amy Daniels who spotted Mr. C. Thomas Howell at the WiSH Education Foundation Distinguished Alumni Awards on May 21 at California Institute of the Arts. A Santa Clarita resident and William S. Hart High School Union School District alumni, Mr. Howell started as a child rodeo star and found his way into acting after his performance in 1983’s “The Outsiders,” which marked the start of his rise to stardom as a staple in the acting world. Other notable performances include 1984’s “Red Dawn” and 1986’s “The Hitcher.” Although he has not appeared on screen since his performance in 2012’s “The Amazing Spider-Man,” Mr. Howell lives happily with his wife and three children.
Amy Daniels also was fortunate enough to meet another celebrity at the Distinguished Alumni Awards. A celebrity of the political world and a native of Valencia, Myers achieved notoriety for her work as United States Press Secretary during the Clinton Administration, as well as a political activist and consultant. As a main face of The White House, her identity and accomplishments are well known by the politically conscious. Myers, now Executive Vice President of Worldwide Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, is still an important figure in public affairs. However, she certainly looks comfortable and happy beside her childhood friend Lisa Holt.
Last in our September star sightings is David Anderson beaming next to Ms. Emma Stone! A household name and one of the highest paid actresses in the world, Stone has been nominated for many awards and has two SAG Awards to her credits. Her credits include numerous roles including Sam Thomson in 2014’s “Birdman,” which has reached critical acclaim. Recently Stone is set to play opposite Ryan Gosling in the musical comedy-drama “La La Land,” as well as other projects. Despite her busy schedule, it’s great to see her having some downtime to reconnect with fans of her work like David.
Stay tuned for more celebrity sightings, as there are many more to report! You never know which star you may run into. And don’t be shy – snap a photo with your favorite celebrity and be sure to share your brush with fame with us.
