SCV Seniors Keep Summer Cool
As a growing city that’s true to its western past, Santa Clarita Valley is certainly not shy about paying homage and respect to the past, and a local singing group has a musical tribute in store for you! The SCV Men of Harmony are hosting the 40th Annual A-cappella Harmony Show on August 28 at 2 p.m., held at the SCV Senior Center. The event will be held indoors in the Main Hall of the Senior Center for those who would like to show their support and connect with the center’s active and vibrant senior community.
Hosted as a good old-fashioned ice cream social, the event will see performances from various groups from the community and beyond. In addition to the Men of Harmony, the Valley Harmony Singers Chorus based in the San Fernando Valley and the Blue Plate Special also will perform a wide range of music, including: Barbershop, Indie Rock, Retro Swing and Alternative genres. The hosts will provide tasty frozen desserts.
The fundraising event costs $15 for adults and $12 for children and fellow seniors. Proceeds help fund expenses, repairs and other necessities to keep the center going.
