Shop Out of Season and Save

 This is a perfect time of year to think about two things… Post season sales and holiday shopping lists.

Shopping post season sales and clearance racks is a great way to build your wardrobe on a budget.  Take inventory of your closet and determine what pieces you may need for the upcoming year.  The season may be nearly over but let’s face it, you live in Southern California, so you won’t be faced with huge shifts and this weather will be back before you know it.
Now that your mind and your eyes are scanning the post-season sales, why not do some wise holiday shopping?  The keys to successful pre-holiday shopping is having a good list of who you will need to buy for, what your budget guidelines are, and a system for keeping good track of your progress!  As a shopper who has doubled up on purchases in the past, I recommend a set hiding spot, clearly label and keep a list, and don’t wrap until the holiday is near.  The person you are shopping for does not need to know what a wise shopper you are – no need to feel guilty or make excuses for shopping smart and finding a great gift!
