News from the Saugus Union School District
On November 4, 2014, the voters of the Saugus Union School District authorized Measure EE under the Proposition 39 statutes. Measure EE authorized the issuance of $148 million in General Obligation Bonds, to be used to improve District schools by upgrading technology for 21st Century classrooms, improving school safety and security, repairing/replacing deteriorated roofs, lighting and electrical systems where needed.
This newsletter is designed for you—our community of parents, guardians and neighbors—to keep you updated on all of the projects that have been completed, are in process or are in planning for the 2016/2017 academic year.
In September, SUSD began its District-wide introduction of Interactive Flat Panels to all classrooms on all campuses. To date, funding from Measure EE has been used to complete the
following projects:
• Completion of the Long Range Comprehensive Master Plan (see it at http://www.saugususd.org/documents/Business%20Services/Facilities/FMP/Final%20Master%20Plan%20EE.pdf).
