An Evening with The Hot Texas Swing Band
With one boot in Cowboy music and the other in Swing, the Hot Texas Swing Band is continuing the trail previously led by artists such as Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.  Backed by a passion for traditional Western Swing, the Hot Texas Swing Band pushes the genre forward with fresh Rockabilly and Latin beats against original material for a new sound and high-energy live shows that have critics and fans raving.  Calling Texas home, this is their first Los Angeles area appearance.

Friday, August 25
An Evening with John Zipperer
A former TV actor and stuntman, John Zipperer’s second chance came rolling down the highway of life while changing a tire for a friend along a busy Atlanta, GA freeway.  Hit by a 10-wheel oil truck and flying 40 feet, John landed in the hospital.  His doctor told him: “You should be dead!”  This seemed like a clear sign that life is, or could be, too short.  He packed all his belongings into his 1976 Camaro and headed to Los Angeles to pursue a life in music.  It was ZipTime!
John’s clear voice, infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics reach fans in places they don’t know exist.  Soon everyone is singing along, chair dancing, head bobbing and clapping.  Fans remark that pure joy is evident when the band is on stage – joy in their playing, joy for their audience, joy from their audience.  John Zipperer delivers a unique and refreshing blend of rock, folk, country and blues.

Friday, October 27
An Evening with Almeda Bradshaw
Almeda Bradshaw is one of Montana’s talented Western singer songwriters.  Her love and appreciation for the Western way of life is expressed in heartfelt songs that give voice to the westerner: cowboys, cowgirls, ranchers, farmers and more.  A lifetime of writing and playing stringed instruments places her work above the ordinary.  Clear vocals, a compelling stage presence and accomplished musicianship guarantee Almeda to be an audience favorite.
“Almeda Bradshaw’s focus and passion show through in all of her projects.  Add in her songwriting, vocal and musical talents, and her albums stand far above the ordinary.  Her latest effort, ‘Lovers, Wives & Mothers: A Western Woman’s Voice’ takes a deep look into Western life, and it shines.  Painstaking production care is evident throughout.  Love, hurt, history and truth are represented in this fine collection.” – Margo Metegrano, cowboypoetry.com
