Lets Bring In The New Year Together!
As 2016 comes to a close, we look forward to bringing in the New Year. With the New Year, comes promises and commitments to somehow better our loved ones and ourselves. Why not consider preschool for your child as a commitment?
Children who attend preschool are better prepared to enter elementary school. At Creative Years the children are often reading near the end of the year. We use the program Handwriting Without Tears (a developmentally appropriate program) and implement phonics along with it. The children are taught to count to 100 and are doing simple adding and subtracting by the end of the school year. They learn things like their phone number, how to properly spell and write their names, calendar and seasons, charting and much more.
The most important thing the children will learn is how to work, play and communicate with others their age and adults. They will learn the self-help skills required, when placed in a larger class. At Creative Years the class size for our terrific two year olds is eight to one, and it is ten to one for three/four years olds and Pre-K children. They are not combined, but kept in separate classes with their teacher. This allows for much needed individual attention that preschool children need to thrive.
The decision to commit to preschool for your child will be rewarding not only for your child, but yourself, as you see their growth and how well prepared they are for elementary school.
Creative Years Infant Center & Preschool conducts tours daily, to schedule yours call 661-254-0718 or send an email to creativeyearsscv@aol.com. For more information on the program or to take a virtual tour log on to www.creativeyears.com.
