The Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival Returns for 2017 Tickets on Sale for the Popular Event Starting January 3, 2017
The City of Santa Clarita’s 24th Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival is set for April 19 through April 23, 2017. The William S. Hart Park event area will once again serve as the setting for the most entertaining festival in the West, with special performances occurring throughout the weekend in Old Town Newhall.
The sights, sounds and swagger of Cowboy life will be on display at William S. Hart Park event area on April 22 and April 23! Presale single day tickets will be available for $10 for adults and $7 for kids ages 3 to 12 (under age 3 are free). At the door, tickets will be $13 for adults and $9 for kids ages 3 to 12 (under age 3 are free). In addition to the festival, separately ticketed intimate performances at the Canyon Theater Guild and the Repertory East Playhouse include nationally known Western musicians and poets, as well as Rockabilly and Americana musical acts.
Admission to William S. Hart Park event area includes access to performances across the five festival stages, as well as living history entertainers, food vendors, Western gear shopping and activities for all ages.
A limited number of $75 VIP packages are also available. Each package includes general admission to the festival at William S. Hart Park event area, weekend access to the VIP Cantina area which will provide food and beverages, VIP shuttle service to and from the festival, and one piece of Cowboy Festival merchandise.
The 2017 Cowboy Festival will feature favorite performers from festivals past, including Don Edwards and Sons of the San Joaquin, as well as a slew of rockin’ newcomers, including Wood & Wire and Andy Hedges.
Kicking off the fun on Thursday, April 20, Old Town Newhall’s Main Street will host a free “Best in the West” themed SENSES block party, presented by Galpin Subaru. From 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the rip-roarin’ event will transform Main Street, complete with live music, line dancing, gourmet food trucks, street performers and exciting themed activities.
Then, the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival kicks off on Saturday, April 22 and continues through Sunday, April 23 at William S. Hart Park event area and Old Town Newhall. Celebrating 24 years of Western fun, the festival will feature top-notch Western music, poetry, entertainment, shopping, games and more.
The 2017 Cowboy Festival will include a mix of attractions, including gold panning, knife throwing, archery, living history exhibits, a mechanical bull, trick ropers and sought-after Western designer fashions.
On Sunday, April 23, the Walk of Western Stars will unveil its 2017 inductees, commemorating their contributions to Western entertainment history by immortalizing their names in bronze and terrazzo tile, stamped into the streets of Old Town Newhall. More information about the 2017 inductees will be available in the coming weeks.
