Celebrity Sightings – March 2017

We have a couple mega celebs on the bill this month, so be prepared to see stars!  From a silver screen celebrity to a musical master, the star power is heavy this March.
Santa Clarita brothers Caden and Jase Draper were lucky enough to attend the star-studded Suicide Squad premiere – and even snap a photo with one of film’s biggest celebrities: Will Smith.  An American acter, producer, rapper and songwriter, Smith got his start on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which ran for six seasons and has appeared on networks ever since.  Smith quickly transitioned from TV into blockbuster films, including: Independence Day, Men in Black, Ali, Hitch, The Pursuit of Happyness and many more films across all genres.  In addition, he has produced a number of films, including: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Pursuit of Happyness, Seven Pounds, The Karate Kid, After Earth and many more.  Smith has been nominated for five Golden Globe Awards and two Academy Awards for his role in Ali and The Pursuit of Happyness.  In addition to his TV and film career, Smith enjoyed a career as a rapper and songwriter, as well.  He has won four Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Solo Performance.  Smith was born in West Philadelphia, is married to Jada Pinkett Smith and has three children: Willard Smith III, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith.
Also spotted was one of music’s biggest stars: Adele.  This photo was snapped by Valencia resident Alexander Hafizi, who was within selfie distance of the superstar during a concert from her recent Adele Live 2016 tour.  An English singer-songwriter, Adele has quickly climbed to intense stardom for her pure, soulful voice and powerful lyrics.  Adele released her first album, 19, in 2008 to large critical and commercial success.  Songs such as “Chasing Pavements,” “Hometown Glory,” and “Daydreams.”  The following year, Adele won Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 51st Grammy Awards.  She went on to release her second album, 21, in 2011 and received even more critical and commercial success.  She earned a record-tying six Grammy Awards for 21, including Album of the Year.  The album has sold more than 31 million copies worldwide.  Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born in Tottenham, London and raised by a single mother.  She began singing when she was 4 years old.
