Hearts for Heroes
Community members, of all ages, came together to say “Thank You” to our local heroes by hand making special cards of appreciation for Valentine’s Day. Santa Clarita’s 13th Annual “Hearts for Heroes” event was held on Saturday, February 11th at St. Clare Catholic Church, in Canyon Country. The community center was decorated with hearts everywhere, and over 200 people came to express their appreciation for our military, firefighters, Sheriff’s Deputies, and paramedics.
Prayer Angels for the Military, host of this popular event, was proud to have St. Clare as a partner this year. A fun event, with Valentine’s Day treats, and a lot of people with big hearts. Some of these wonderful cards, of love and gratitude, were included in care packages to our troops, and others were delivered on Valentine’s Day, to local first responders, and veterans. All the “Thank You” cards are so well received, prompting a lot of big smiles from Santa Clarita’s unsung heroes.
