Growing the Seeds of the Future
“April showers bring May flowers.” It’s a saying we’re all familiar with, but what does it really mean? In my opinion, it refers to providing the nourishment and environment the delicate seedlings need in order to thrive and grow into the most beautiful flowers possible. Of course, I’m referring to our children. As parents, we give them everything we can — sometimes wondering if we’re making the right decisions. Hey! They don’t come with a manual. But we also know that no one loves and cares for them as much as we do and we want to give them the best future possible. When it’s time to start school, we sometimes panic. Suddenly a large part of their day is out of our control. Will the teachers understand them like we do? Will they give them attention when they need it? Will they make friends? Are they ready to listen and behave? The answer to all of the above is: you’d be surprised. I have three kids. My oldest just turned 18 and received his first college acceptance letters. My 14-year-old has a 4.0 GPA and big plans for the future. Are there issues? Of course! But in the end, we are very fortunate. The last child, you ask? She is in Pre-K at CBS Preschool. That was a no-brainer for me because she isn’t my first child to attend. I have complete confidence that she is getting love, attention, academic instruction, support, encouragement and lots of fun with her friends. She started, as all my kids, when she was two. I strongly believe in social interaction at a young age and have watched my children and others thrive because of it. The teachers and staff are amazing and the I’ve made close friends with other moms and dads that will last a lifetime. In a world of unknowns where we sometimes question every move, CBS Preschool is a constant that an be relied on. Why not schedule a tour and see the kids’ smiles for yourself?
