Top Marketing Tips for Indie Filmmakers Workshop Hosted at The Centre
Filmmakers and the public are invited to the New Heights workshop, “Top Marketing Tips for Indie Filmmakers” on Wednesday, April 12, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Centre, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway. Digital marketing strategist and social media practitioner, Sheri Candler, will be discussing the ways independent filmmakers can market their films and attract the audience their films deserve on a budget. This workshop is free and no reservations are required to attend.
Participants will enjoy learning from Sheri’s wealth of experience in film marketing and distribution. Her articles on social media marketing for independent films have appeared in industry publications, such as Indiewire, MovieMaker Magazine and Sundance Artists Services. She has also spoken at industry events for the American Film Market, Federation of European Film Directors Annual Meeting and the Directors Guild of America.
Currently, Sheri is the Social Media Editor for KCETLink Media Group in Los Angeles, where she uses social media platforms and analytic tools to help producers, editors and businesses reach their marketing and production goals. Sheri Candler’s list of credentials goes on and on, making her an invaluable speaker for this workshop’s topic.
