Trinity Classical Academy introduces Libertas Preparatory School
Trinity Classical Academy introduces Libertas Preparatory School. This program is designed for those families wishing for an alternative educational opportunity for their children. Its purpose is to encourage and support families who seek the benefits of what a Christian Private Satellite Study Program (PSP) can offer. The program will provide an environment for learning to take place inside the classroom and/or the home.
“For many years, home-school families from the Santa Clarita valley have inquired as to how they could become involved at Trinity, either academically, through athletics, fine arts or our elective programs,” said Liz Caddow, Trinity Head of School. “After much planning and consideration, we are launching Libertas Preparatory School to serve families who want a home-school education and be connected to the Trinity community as well.”
Libertas will offer state filing and record keeping to families with students in grades K-12. Students in grades K-6 will have the opportunity to participate in the after school and fine arts programs offered through Trinity.
We are also excited to announce Libertas LIVE. LIVE (Learning Intentionally with Virtue and Excellence) is designed to provide a one-day a week on campus enrichment opportunity for students in grades K-6. Students will enjoy a time of worship, as well as science, art and writing classes. Students can also participate in Drama or PE.
Trinity is extending the quality and rigor of its high caliber classes taught from a Classical, Christian perspective to Libertas Prep students in grades 7-12. These students will have the opportunity to enroll in on campus academic and elective courses, dual enrollment college courses, participate in Fine Arts, clubs and activities.
In addition, students in grades 9-12 can also participate in Trinity’s competitive CIF sports program including; football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, and swim to name a few. Libertas Prep provides a very unique opportunity for the SCV community.
