National Leader Autism Learning Partners Provides Social Skills and Family Programs for Progress!
Autism Learning Partners strives to give hope, support and paths of progress for children and their families living with Autism and related disorders. Our North Los Angeles team provides quality Autism Services across North Los Angeles.
One of the most prevalent challenges for individuals with autism spectrum disorder is in the area of social skills. This includes challenges with observational skills, eye contact, play interactions, social pragmatics, taking other people’s perspective, making inferences, sharing enjoyment and building relationships. At Autism Learning Partners, we believe that achievement in the domain of social interaction greatly improves the quality of life for the learner. In addition, we place a premium on screening, assessment, individually tailored interventions and most importantly having fun!
Autism Learning Partners is very proud of our Parent Support Group, ideal for parents or guardians who have a child with a diagnosis of Autism, within ABA treatment, who may have a child with Pervasive Developmental Delays and any child (including three and under) who may be at risk of receiving a diagnosis of Autism. Each session is about 1.15 hours and covers consecutive curriculum for parents, including: coping skills, transitioning services, planning for future, understanding your services better, incorporating families and friends, navigating funding and more. The program is designed by our very own Autism expert Sherri Ragan, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Board Certified Behavior Technician (BCBA).
Our goal is to make progress possible for all, which is why we provide Sibling Workshops (SibShops): groups held with the siblings of special needs children! It is a chance for them to get together with children around their same age to play games, build friendships, and talk about what it’s like to grow up with special needs siblings. Our program is designed for school-aged children ages six to 14 and includes specialized themes and fun activities!
Our North Los Angeles region is proud of our team and has a group of qualified, seasoned local therapists ready to assist your families.
