Tell Me Something Good – May 2017
What was inspired by a radio bit continues this month as we highlight some of the positive news and the helpful people in our valley. Do you know someone who is worth “tooting” a horn over? Email your submissions for “Tell Me Something Good” to editorial@santaclaritamagazine.com.
Our first TMSG comes from a local father-son duo fundraising in the Fred Hutch Cancer Research challenge to climb Mount Hood. Ken Wiseman and son Eric are teaming up and joining other associates of Ken’s from Los Angeles County Sheriff Search & Rescue Teams. Their group is hoping to raise $25,000 to support Fred Hutch Cancer Research. You can make a difference. Your support, perhaps the names you share with us to place on our prayer flag, and the stories many of you will share, all reinforce our mission. Please click on this link tohttp://getinvolved.fhcrc.org/goto/KenEricWiseman to give to the “Climb to Fight Cancer.” Every gift helps!
Local business owner, and all around charitable mama Martha Aguilera shared a beautiful painting last month created by her daughter Ericka. Truly a creative bunch, the Aguilera family continues to keep us in awe with their talent.

Congratulations to Santa Clarita residents David Roberts and Stephanie Moore on their recent nuptials. The two tied the knot at Calamigos Ranch on Saturday, April 15, then jetted off to Jamaica to enjoy a week of newlywed bliss as Mr. and Mrs. David Roberts.
The Hillsborough HOA received a lovely little facelift thanks to two generous Santa Clarita resident retirees. Cliff and Marilyn Creighton took it upon themselves to revive the landscaping and help brighten up the day of anyone who passes by. Thank you to the Creighton’s for being so kind and generous.
