The 33rd Annual Teacher Tribute
The SCV Education Foundation hosted its 33rd Annual Teacher Tribute on Tuesday, April 11th at the COC Performing Arts Center. District Superintendents from the five local school districts recognized one teacher from each of the 54 public schools and presented them with a “Champions” medals and swag bag filled with goodies donated from local merchants.
In keeping with the Olympics theme of the event, members of West Ranch Percussion band led the honorees into the auditorium behind their district flags. Entertainment was provided by the Hart High School Jazz band and the Sulphur Springs Union School District Chorus. The night was capped off with a video production highlighting each of the honored teachers produced by the Canyon High Network News.
Over 500 SCV Education Foundation sponsors and paid guests were in attendance to help honor the top teachers in the Santa Clarita Valley. Honored teachers were selected by their peers for their outstanding service and contribution in the classroom.
The SCV Education Foundation’s mission is to “promote innovation and excellence in education through community engagement and investment opportunities in all fifty-four public K-12 schools”.
