Help the St. Louis Six have a Gentle Barn of Their Own!
This month we saved six cows that escaped from a slaughterhouse in North St. Louis, Missouri.
Chico, one of the six cows, led the amazing escape that took over the local news and reached national attention. Since being rescued, Chico and his brothers have been given close medical attention and are enjoying their freedom at a foster-property where they are recovering. One of the St Louis Six affectionately named, Spirit, could not overcome his internal and physical injuries from the escape and re-capturing and had to be euthanized. The other five cows are in good health and their lives will be lived in memory of Spirit and the life that he should have had. Chico and his brothers clearly want to live. Now that they have been saved, they need a home and St. Louis is the perfect place for the next Gentle Barn. With the public’s help we can open the third Gentle Barn and give sanctuary to these special cows, save more lives, and service the at risk populations in the area.
Please help us help them by donating at www.gentlebarn.org.
