Eternal Valley Memorial Day

by | Jun 27, 2017 | On The Town

It was a beautiful day to honor our military men and women who fought so valiantly for our freedoms. More than 500 area Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts placed more than 5,000 American flags on the graves of veterans. A beautiful and touching sight to behold.
As our veterans were honored, the Santa Clarita Community Band played favorite marches and each branch of our military were musically honored with their corresponding themes.
AT-6 planes of the Condor Squadron flying overhead, 21-gun salute, the haunting notes of Taps being played and the sight of our future men and women dressed in their junior military uniforms brings forth pride to represent our country.
Following the Ceremony the audience congregated at the Veterans Memorial Wall for the reading of the more than 850 names inscribed on the wall.
