Who doesn’t want to visit France in the Spring? Santa Clarita resident was happy to snap a photo with American actress Kristen Stewart before they attended the Cannes Film Festival. Most know Stewart for her popular role as Bella Thorne in the Twilight Saga of movies which ran from 2008 to 2012. The films grossed a combined 3.3 Billion dollars worldwide. Stewart has appeared in a wide variety of films, including Adventureland (2009), The Runaways (2010), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), On the Road (2012), Camp X-Ray (2014), Still Alice (2014) and Equals (2015). She won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2010 and was awarded the Milan International Film Festival Award for Best Actress in 2011 for Welcome to the Rileys (2010). In 2015, she received critical acclaim for her role opposite Juliette Binoche in Clouds of Sils Maria, for which she won a multitude of accolades, including the César Award for Best Supporting Actress, making her the first American actress to win a César Award. Stewart will next appear alongside Chloë Sevigny in Lizzie revolving around Lizzie Borden, directed by Craig William Macneill.
Most notably known in recent years for her role as Sue Sylvester on Fox’s GLEE, Jane Lynch’s career has spanned nearly 30 years. Lynch was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and raised in Dolton, Illinois, the daughter of a banker father, Frank Lynch and a homemaker-secretary mother, Eileen (née Carney). Her father was of Irish descent and her mother was of Irish and Swedish ancestry. She was raised in a Catholic family and attended Thornridge High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in theater from Illinois State University and her MFA in theater from Cornell University. Lynch got her start in films in 1988, playing a small role in the film Vice Versa. In 1993, she had a secondary role as a doctor alongside Harrison Ford in The Fugitive. In February 21, 2017, Lynch appeared on The Price Is Right as a Celebrity Charity Week. Lynch also portrays Janet Reno in the upcoming Discovery Channel television series, Manhunt: Unabomber.
More recently, SCV resident Heather Shelofsky was dining out with her girlfriends when she ran in to none other than Swaggy P himself. Nicholas Aaron Young is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association(NBA). He plays both shooting guard and small forward positions. Young played college basketball for the USC Trojans and was a two-time first-team all-conference selection in the Pac-10. He was selected by the Washington Wizards in the first round of the 2007 NBA draft with the 16th overall pick.
