We are proud to announce that a new non-profit has come to the Santa Clarita Valley. IWC Ballroom Dance Youth Foundation. This new and very much needed foundation will be teaching Ballroom dance along with life skill that the student will be using for the rest of their lives. No matter what career path they choose. Classes will be held at the D’Wilfri DanceArt and Entertainment ballroom dance studio in Valencia. There will be a Celebration event on Thursday August 24th 5:30 – 7:30 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. Please come join the IWC for some lite appetizers, no host bar and dance demonstration from some of their students.
Our Vision
Ballroom Dance is the ultimate form of expression. We believe no one should be deprived of their heartfelt passion and desire of self-expression through the art of dance. Building on self- esteem, discipline and development, IWC Ballroom Dance Youth Foundation extends our heartfelt passion and desire to open the doors of opportunity to those dreamers wishing to be inspired. No matter ethnic diversity or financial hardship, our commitment is to the empowerment of each child, to dream their dreams and to live them out through the expression of Ballroom dance; an art form in creativity and movement; a team sport, and a place to belong.
Community, (Paying it Forward)
The ability to express one’s passion begs to be shared. Our community outreach will allow our students the ability to pay it forward while building on individual self-development, direction, team work, discipline, and respect for self and others. Contributing to our communities in the form of dance performance builds awareness, unity, and acceptance of diversity. It is our commitment to inspire, and enrich through community outreach, and through positive interaction, and valued connections, as we gain a deep sense of understanding, and appreciation, one for another, while realizing the importance of coming together as a community.
Nothing Less than Excellence
With many years of experience, we understand the importance of gratification through hard work and excellence. The ethics and deep passion we feel for the art of ballroom dance is in our soul, and in our hearts. Our dedication to each individual participating will be witnessed by providing our very best in professionalism, instruction, and passion, while adding a limitless amount of fun, all leading to self-gratification, and excellence. The end result will be demonstrated in the form of self-development and self-awareness, building most importantly on self- confidence and the desire of each individual to live out their dream to dance. As we commit to do our very best together, we will simultaneously also witness dreams coming true.
Honor
In learning to develop our passion, we learn the importance of self-respect, team work, trust, creativity, values and compassion for ourselves, fellow students, instructors and community. We learn about the importance for boundaries while learning to feel freedom to communicate through movement and speech. This is called self-discipline. These traits are honorable and are a benefit when used in daily life. With compassion and loving instruction, we will learn the importance of honor for self and others.
Gratitude through Stewardship
“To whom much is given, much is required”! With all that we receive in order to achieve greatness for all those who will participate in IWC Ballroom Dance Youth Foundation, we will always be extremely humbled and grateful. Any and all generous resources provided will be carefully used to enhance the lives of those less fortunate so that their seemingly impossible dream will become realized, learning that all things are truly possible. Be it financial or through volunteering of your time, your support will be respected and cherished as we join together in stewardship, making a difference for each and every individual whose dream is to spread their wings and fly in the form of dance.
