SUMMARY:
Peter Schock and Kate Dyer have both lived in the 21st century their entire lives. But after messing with an antigravity machine, Peter and Kate both end up in 1763. Peter and Kate will do anything in their lives to stop the Tar Man, a criminal mastermind who is secretly keeping the children’s antigravity machine, forcing them to be stuck in the past. But after a small-chance encounter with a man named Gideon, Peter and Kate begin to realize that they are not the only ones suffering, that the entire past is as well. Together, the children will face many challenges to overcome, like being robbed by footpads or highwaymen. But Peter and Kate soon realize that the pit of the storm has not come yet, but that their adventure has only begun.
REVIEW:
I thought this book lived up its full potential and the author did a splendid job expressing all the thoughts of the characters. The characters, Peter and Kate, both were relatable to readers of all ages. Placing 21st century characters in the year of 1763 mixed both historical events while keeping kids of today interested by having their own time period placed in the book. Linda Buckley Archer did an amazing job not only with this book, but with the rest of the Time Traveler’s Series.
