An Education is More Than Just School
Not only am I a school administrator, but also, I’m a parent. Our children have been homeschooled, attended public and private school and they have excelled academically in all of them. So why would it be so important for our family to make sure our kids were in the best school possible? Because if there is anyone who should know that a child’s education is more than just school, assignments and grades, it would be someone who actually works in a school.
No matter what type of educational program your children are in, the culture of the school has a great impact on your child’s development as does the curriculum in the classroom. We tend to be very careful and selective about the curriculum children learn, however, we are less purposeful when it comes to choosing the culture in which our children will assimilate into. It doesn’t matter if you have a Kindergartener, a senior in high school, or any age in between, where they go to school will also impact who their friends are, their desires and their confidence.
As a family, we wanted to make sure that not only the school, but also the teachers were united and prepared to give our children their best. Equally important was that the families and students that made up the school culture shared a common vision of success and high expectations. We wanted a place where the entire family could connect. We are happy to say that place is Santa Clarita Christian School.
With a low student-to-teacher ratio, competitive sports for grades K-12, Advanced Placement classes and full and half day Kindergarten programs, SCCS partners with families to help produce students who are prepared to make a difference in the world for God.
Join us for our Fall Kindergarten Preview Day, Friday, December 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. SCCS Administration will present an overview of our program and curriculum and you and your child will have the opportunity to meet members of our staff and visit a Kindergarten classroom. Space is limited! This is an event you don’t want to miss!
Please RSVP at 661-252-7371. Visit www.sccs.cc or www.facebook.com/SantaClaritaChristianSchool for more information.
