Celebrity Sightings – September 2017
In another life, I was a dancer… I cannot even explain how happy dance makes my life. Back in 2009, élite Magazine featured So You Think You Can Dance Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe on our cover and obtained an exclusive interview with the dance extraordinaire. It was truly a highlight of my life. Another SCV resident, Katina Childs-Muller also met the dance enthusiast and was able to snap a photo.
Early in Lythgoe’s career, he learned to use techniques (e.g. multi-cameras) to film choreography well, a skill that would lead to a television career. During the 1970s and into the 1980s, Lythgoe had the opportunity to perform with dancers from Cyd Charisse to Gene Kelly. He also choreographed for Ben Vereen, Shirley Bassey and (most famously) the Muppets. Lythgoe, in an interview with People said that he was ”the only person to dance, choreograph, produce and direct the Royal Variety Performance.”
Did you hear about the Pop Up Dinner organized and presented by Chef Dustin Boole and Chef Chase Ponce? If you’re a foodie, or just a fan of good food then you need to follow them on every social media outlet so you don’t miss the next opportunity. On July 23, the two culinary masters presented 36 guests a delicious made-from-scratch 10 course menu. The Magazine of Santa Clarita publishers Moe, Linda and Alexander Hafizi along with Arnold Bryant were fortunate to snap a photo with Gwen Butchery & Restaurant owner Chef Curtis Stone at the event. Chef Ponce currently works under Chef Stone at the Los Angeles eatery, Gwen Butchery & Restaurant.
