Empowering HeArts: Highlighting Resilience in 2018
The Empowering HeArts Planning Committee is hard at work planning Single Mothers Outreach (SMO) eighth annual, fundraising gala set to take place Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Savia Community Center. Empowering HeArts celebrates inspirational women in the community who have helped shape the lives of others in the midst of great difficulty, while raising funds in support of the mission of SMO.
This year’s Empowering HeArts theme is “Resilience,” and SMO has asked the community to nominate women as honorees for the gala event. The upcoming Empowering HeArts gala has several changes in store for honored guests. As the event approaches, The Empowering HeArts Planning Committee is excited to present an unforgettable experience for honorees, artists and guests.
A new addition to the gala is for guests to enjoy an evening inspired by the charm of Old Hollywood. Invitees are encouraged to dress according to the theme as they enter into times past and experience an incredible night in tinsel town.
There are women in this community who have risen above difficult circumstances with a stronger spirit, and are seldom recognized. They have not only improved their own lives, but enhanced the lives of those around them. Therefore, the purpose of Empowering HeArts is to bring honor to these women and recognize them for their resilience.
