Exer More Than Urgent Care Opens New Medical Facility in Stevenson Ranch
California’s fastest growing privately-owned ER alternative is built and staffed by ER Doctors and offers patients more medical services than a typical walk-in urgent care.
Today, Exer More Than Urgent Care opened a highly-anticipated medical facility near the corner of The Old Road and Constitution Avenue in Stevenson Ranch, Calif. Exer is California’s fastest growing privately-owned ER alternative, built and staffed by ER Doctors and offers patients more comprehensive medical services than a typical walk-in urgent care.
“We are absolutely thrilled to open our doors here in Stevenson Ranch,” said Rob Mahan, Exer’s chief executive officer. “It’s an honor to provide the people of the Santa Clarita Valley with a convenient and affordable alternative to the emergency room when conditions become urgent or serious but are non-life-threatening.”
With on-site X-Ray, IV, Lab, Splinting, Laceration, Pediatrics, Diagnostics and other services, Exer offers patients more comprehensive medical services than a traditional walk in urgent care. Each center is staffed with on-site ER Doctors who have on average over 15 years of experience stabilizing and treating patients in emergency medicine.
“We are on a mission to help people feel better, faster. Here in California nearly one-third of all ER visits are not considered to be true medical emergencies. We carefully designed our facilities to combine the best clinical expertise with the care and convenience people want, when they need it most. Each of our centers are equipped to stabilize and treat over 80 percent of cases seen daily in the local ER with little-to-no waiting and for a fraction of the cost,” Mahan added.
Mahan said expanding Exer’s medical services to the Santa Clarita Valley would not be possible without the support of their partners, Providence Health & Services.
“Providence is the country’s third largest not-for-profit health care system,” added Mahan. “By collaborating closely with their medical experts, we’re able to bring emergency medicine directly in to more communities around Southern California which helps to ease the strain on local Emergency Departments in the areas we serve.”
“The opening of Exer More Than Urgent Care in Santa Clarita is an outstanding milestone as we continue to find new ways to provide our patients with access to quality and affordable healthcare options,” said Erik G. Wexler, chief executive, Providence St. Joseph Health, Southern California Region, Los Angeles. “We’re proud to support Exer and congratulate their expert medical teams for expanding their services to the Santa Clarita Valley.”
In addition to Santa Clarita, Exer operates centers in Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Newbury Park, Northridge, Sherman Oaks and Redondo Beach. Exer is continuing its expansion in Southern California and plans to open a new clinic in Manhattan Beach in early 2018.
Exer More Than Urgent Care is open seven days-a-week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with little-to-no waiting and last patients are registered daily at 8:30 p.m. Exer accepts most PPOs, most HMOs and offers affordable payment options for those with minimal or no health insurance.
