Honoring Those Who Serve

 Our November photo contest results are always a favorite of our readers. Santa Clarita is a huge supporter of our Military, as well as a place that numerous active duty and veteran families call home. I am fortunate to have grown up with a family of service. My grandparents on my father’s side are immigrants from Costa Rica and when they came to America more than 40 years ago it was extremely important for them to have children of service. I am proud to say that my family includes an ER Nurse, a Professor at USC, a United States Air Force Colonel (Ret.) as well as a Navy Corpsman (Ret.). My father was a Los Angeles Police Officer and so was my great-great grandfather on my mother’s side. To say I am proud of my family is an understatement.
We are very honored to share the following images with you, and encourage you to share your gratitude for our Military members, active and veteran when you see them around town. There will never be enough “thank you’s” we can share with these brave individuals, but we can absolutely show them some love every chance we get!
