Tell Me Something Good – December 2017
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… and mind you when I write this column, it’s about six weeks prior because of production. We have barely opened the door to November, but the weather is finally catching up with the season and I think we are all enjoying the cooler temperatures. After a tough month in October left many Santa Claritan’s recovering from trauma, we are finding so many ways to be thankful and share positivity throughout the community.
As the City finishes the touches on West Creek Park-unveiling a new design, David March Park is receiving an upgrade. Residents can expect the new playground at David March Park to be ready by the New Year, and West Creek Park is ready for everyone to enjoy now!
Residents enjoyed the 10th Annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest and Spooky Family Fair on Saturday, October 28 at the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center. Guests watched certified SCUBA dive teams create underwater masterpieces in the depths of the Aquatics Center. Chace is on the case!
One special announcement comes from a very dear friend and local Saugus High School teacher Crystal Hilstein. “Perspective is everything-letting go of certain things allowed the opportunities for Ricky to break through. He works hard for his family at home and his fire family. We are pleased to share that Ricky earned a promotion and will be the new Patrol 11 with the Angeles National Forest. Undoubtedly, it was his time for opportunity within the United States Forest Service to take on a new role working with the fire and forest community including the Smokey Bear program.”
