You watch The Voice, right? Recently, we had the pleasure of featuring local resident Karli Webster on the cover of élite Magazine, our gloss publication. Karli is a local resident and student at Vibe Performing Arts who auditioned for the hit show. After earning a place on Team Miley, Karli faced opponent after opponent before losing her battle round just before the live episodes premiered. Earning a Last Chance Save by her Coach Miley Cyrus, Karli went back for one more battle before completing her time on the show. Keep your eyes peeled for Karli around town, sharing her gift and singing at local events.
Celebrities of our very own, local beauty pros Josh Rivas and Janine Jones celebrated in style with Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin at the Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala this past November. The foundations mission is to host a fabulous fundraising gala each year! Not only is this a beautiful night that celebrates our mutual love of dogs; it’s a chance for us to recognize our sponsors, ambassadors and supporters; and, most importantly, to raise funds for our domestic and international programs! Together, we can help create a better world for dogs both domestically and internationally. Vanderpump is a British restaurateur, author, actress, and television personality. She is known for her appearances on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules, and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Vanderpump and husband, Ken Todd, have owned 26 restaurants, bars and clubs in London and Los Angeles, including The Shadow Lounge, Bar Soho, SUR, Pump, and Villa Blanca.
Always a hot-spot for celebrities, The Hyatt Regency Valencia recently played the backdrop to a Hollywood production. Celebrity Billy Bob Thornton was cool enough to snap a photo with local resident Chuck Aquirre. William Robert Thornton (born August 4, 1955) is an American actor, filmmaker, singer, songwriter, and musician. Thornton had his first break when he co-wrote and starred in the 1992 thriller One False Move, and came to international attention after writing, directing, and starring in the independent drama film Sling Blade (1996), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor.Thornton has received the President’s Award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, a Special Achievement Award from the National Board of Review, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has also been nominated for an Emmy Award, four Golden Globes, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. In addition to film work, Thornton began a career as a singer-songwriter. He has released four solo albums and is the vocalist of the blues-rock band The Boxmasters.
