Empowering HeArts 2018
Lights, camera, action! Single Mothers Outreach is rolling out the red carpet for their eighth annual signature fundraising gala, Empowering HeArts.
Join Single Mothers Outreach February 10, 2018 at the Savia Community Center for a night in tinseltown to celebrate resilient women in the community.
Empowering HeArts bridges the worlds of social action and artistic expression by pairing inspirational women and artists of Santa Clarita to create art forms that depict the moving stories of resilient women. With the funds raised at this event, single-parent families will be able to continue benefiting from resources and services such as food, clothing, therapy, classes, emergency housing and much more.
The upcoming Empowering HeArts gala has several changes in store for guests. As the event approaches, The Empowering HeArts Planning Committee is excited to present a dinner gala and an unforgettable night in Old Hollywood for honorees, artists and guests.
This year’s Empowering HeArts theme is “Resilience,” SMO asked the community to nominate women as honorees for the gala event and the votes are in. The 2018 Empowering HeArts Honorees are: Betsy Meenk, Frances Sotelo, Jennifer Kennedy, Kammie Larsen, Kiya Ramsey and Pegah Hunt. The talented artists for the event are Aazam Irilian, Ashley Funicello, Dawn Grider, Denise Jensen, Kirby Lanier and Zony Gordon.
The impactful stories of these women and the impeccable talent of the artists are sure to touch every heart in the room.
