“Keeping Still” Exhibit at La Galeria Gitana
Five Santa Clarita Artists Association members have been accepted to the Keeping Still: The Life of Objects exhibition at La Galeria Gitana in San Fernando. The exhibit will run from December 16 to February 9, 2018.
• Olga Kaczmar – “I’m pleased to say that a palette knife painting of daisies in a green vase and a realistic one of oranges with orange juice that makes people’s mouth water has been selected.” See OlgaKaczmar.com
• Laurie Morgan – “My pastel, Red Ripe and Ready, took home a Merit Ribbon in the SCAA Art Classic 2017 and is one of 4 paintings I am showing in this exhibit.” Her other works include another pastel, an acrylic and a watercolor painting. See http://www.lauriemorgan.biz
• Patti O’Hearn – I have spent recent years painting in a style described as “California Impressionism.” I have always found the darks, lights, and colors in nature and especially trees very compelling and entrancing. Color theory, composition, tension and harmony, shapes, line, positive and negative areas, and texture all play a role in the process of planning and executing my work. https://www.santaclaritaartists.org/patty-ohearn.html
• Therese Verner – Therese Verner creates original oil paintings to enhance one’s enjoyment of life. Her artwork was displayed in restaurants and cafes in the L.A. area, and she won first prize in the 2016 Santa Monica Mountains art show at King Gillette Ranch.https://www.facebook.com/ArtByThereseVerner/
• Viktoria Romanova – “Beautiful color relationships interest me the most and particular light keys for each painting that expresses a certain mood. It makes sense for me to work with the full palette because people see the world in the full color spectrum.” https://www.viktoriaromanova.studio
