Closet on Main – A Hidden Gem
As you stroll down Main Street after visiting your favorite lunch spot, you may stumble upon an endearing boutique called Closet on Main. With its impeccable window displays, shoppers are drawn to the vintage and trendy appeal of the store.
Upon arrival guests may be surprised to find this store is a volunteer-run, re-sale boutique by Single Mothers Outreach (SMO), a non-profit organization in support of single-parent families in Santa Clarita. All proceeds from this store support SMO’s mission to “empower single parents and their children by providing hope, support, and resources so families can become self-sustaining and thrive.”
Shoppers are guaranteed to find something to please all styles at unbelievable prices. You can find that handbag you have been searching for or that one-of-kind, vintage leather jacket straight from the 90’s. New and vintage looks can be found at this hidden gem in trendy Downtown Newhall, CA.
Not only is the public invited to shop its incredible prices, but members of SMO are given the opportunity to shop free of charge once a month for themselves and their families. The cost of living in a city like Santa Clarita is expensive and our members struggle to provide everyday necessities, let alone new clothing. With SMO’s “Shop-the-Closet” program, members can choose a pair of school shoes for their kids and a sweater to keep them warm as the winter chill begins to settle in.
As the store is volunteer-run, volunteers are always desired. Consider joining the team of passionate and loving volunteers as they unite in support of single parents in Santa Clarita. Closet on Main is also happy to take all new and gently-used clothing donations at the Newhall location. For more information, please email admin@smoscv.org.
Be sure to visit Closet on Main, a re-sale boutique located at 24335 Main St, Newhall, CA 91321. Shop without guilt at Closet on Main: a place to shop for yourself, knowing you are making a difference in someone else’s life.
