A Star on the Rise with Genevieve Rosale – Spotlight Our Youth
Courage, Determination, and Strength are what Genevieve Rosale is made of. The current Little Miss of the Santa Clarita Valley is on the rise. At the age of 12 she is more involved and more mature than your average 12-year-old. At first glance she is a sweet, little girl who enjoys swimming and hanging out with friends. But as you get to know her, she is way more than that! Genevieve Rosale currently is a part of several extracurricular activities in Santa Clarita. Since Kindergarten she has been an active member in Girls Scouts of America. Her current rank is Second Year Cadet with her bronze award working towards her silver award and spends her time actively serving in the community. She is involved in the Projects with Rescue on the Runway, a local non-profit dedicated to rescuing animals from the kill shelters and finding forever homes. Participating in “A Heart For Our Hero’s” where baked goods are made and taken to local firehouses to honor our first responders with her fellow queens of the Miss SCV Program. When Genevieve is not attending girl scouts’ meetings and keeping up her grades as a 7th grader she is serving up some sass in cheer competitions. From the age of four she has been cheering in national competitions and her team Senior Blue at SCV All Stars holds the title as four time national champions of the Summit. They will return to Florida this year to compete against the top 10 percent of all the nations cheer squads. The Summit National Competition will take place on May 3rd through the 6th in Orlando Florida at Walt Disney World and will be televised on ESPN2 to defend SCV All Stars Senior Blue Title FOR A 5PEAT making Summit history as the only team to win 4 consecutive titles in the same division. Also, Genevieve will be competing for the title of Junior Miss SCV with the 40th Annual Miss SCV Program in the spring. When asked what made you into such a driven person, she said she gets inspiration from her older sisters, Ceidre and Treslei and Miss SCV Duchess Oriana John . “My sisters taught me to always have courage no matter what because there is nothing we can’t do and to always be positive.” Genevieve will soon be entering high school and plans to go to Valencia just like her big sister. After that she plans on attending UCLA and becoming a physician to specialize in OB/GYN. “I want to work with babies and bring new life into our world.”
