Learn the skills in preschool – Be successful in Kindergarten
As a parent, you want only the best for your children and you want to make sure they are well prepared for the adventures in Kindergarten. Preschool is a wonderful place to gain the knowledge and tools that will make your children feel secure and successful as they move from the comfortable small preschool environment to the larger setting of elementary school. When your children are placed in an appropriate social environment they are on their way to being prepared. Learning to interact with peers and having the language to communicate their wants and needs is an essential skill for success in Kindergarten, and in life. Problem solving and having good manners should be part of the preparation as well.
When your children are in a preschool setting they will learn about rules, respecting the space they have and sharing with others. They learn to sit and focus during circle time. Their attention span will be lengthened gradually, and their minds will be expanded with music, stories, art and much more, using the age appropriate curriculum their teacher has creatively planned for each day.
Your child will feel self-sufficient by being able to be independent. For example, the simple task of putting on shoes and jackets are an important skill that will be learned. Your child will become responsible; organization in a preschool classroom during cleaning up (sorting items to right places) will help develop these skills at an early age.
Scholastically your child will be prepared in a program that offers many areas of education. When the program applies itself to every style of learning, your child will benefit, when developmentally ready. When learning phonics, math, science, literacy, music, and art a hands-on approach is very successful. The result will be a child who is independent, secure and can learn effectively in a larger group setting.
