2018 SCV/Tri-Valley Law Enforcement Torch Run Golf Tournament
With over 150 registered golfers, the 2018 Santa Clarita/Tri-Valley Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Golf Tournament at The Oaks Club at Valencia was a complete success from every perspective.
“We were completely sold out over a month before the tournament,” said tournament chairman Mike Hartmann. “We were having to turn away foursomes, which is a pretty good position to be in.”
This was the 16th annual tournament, and California Resources Corporation has been the Gold Sponsor every year. “We are so fortunate to have such a strong commitment from our friends at California Resources Corporation,” said Laura Mayo, Assistant Vice President of the Northern Division for Special Olympics Southern California. “The support we receive from all of our sponsors is so important and one of the many reasons this tournament is so successful.”
“There are so many fun elements to this tournament, it really is always a fun day,” said Hartmann, a captain with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. “Between the putting contest, sling-shot hole and other on-course competitions, there’s never a shortage of opportunities to be a winner.”
The 2019 tournament is tentatively scheduled for April 29, 2019 at The Oaks Club at Valencia. For more details, follow www.sosc.org/scvtv.
