The Art of Giving with Assistance League®

 The Assistance League has been a longtime giver to the community of the Santa Clarita Valley. Located in Newhall on Main Street, this location is one of the main sources of income for funding the various philanthropic causes that occur throughout the year. The Store in entirely staffed with volunteers and 100 percent of all the proceeds go towards their many causes. From bettering the lives of our elderly population, to making sure our future generations are given educational opportunities and experiences not afforded to them by the current curriculum, Assistance League has remained a staple in our community.
With the support of the volunteers and the residents of this valley they are able to put on such causes as Operation School Bell. In cooperation with Old Navy and Payless Shoes this organization brings in a school age child who is in need to these stores to pick outfits for school. “Sometimes this is the first piece of new clothing the child has ever received,” says Helen Barlow Public Relations Chairperson. Through their continued efforts, they are able to reach many children with the hopes of giving them a brighter outlook on life and how they look and feel.
Their goal for the future is to be able to help more people and play a bigger role in the success of our town. The many volunteers of Assistance League are calling to the residents of the Santa Clarita Valley for more support. With more donations and more patronage, they are able to further their reach in our growing community. Assistance League strives to hold true to their motto of benefitting families and transforming lives, and with the continued support of Santa Clarita they are able to do just that.
Be sure to join in their other fundraiser with the 11th Annual Sunset in the Vineyard which is set to occur the first Sunday in November.
