JAM Sessions | 10 by 10
JAM Sessions
Dance to the beat, play an instrument, and experience something unexpected with JAM Sessions, fun, interactive music and dance events hosted in conjunction with the Ford Theatre Foundation. The evening integrates live dance instruction from professional instructors with live band performances. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a chair if you just plan on listening to the music. JAM Sessions are participatory and centered around movement and music. All JAMs are FREE, and all ages and skill levels are welcome. JAM Sessions are a program of the Ford Theatre Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports the Ford Theatres through programs that engage and enrich surrounding communities.

10 by 10
10 by 10 is a variety night giving ten selected entertainers the chance to take the stage for a ten minute performance of their choosing. Audience members will enjoy storytelling, magic, comedy, improv, music, and other forms of entertainment at this ever changing event. Admission is FREE! We are interested in short live theatre pieces, improv, comedy, magic, dance, monologues, music, and anything else you think might entertain an audience. Each month, ten performers will be selected to perform a 10-minute piece. All types of art forms are accepted and considered; however, there are some restrictions on live music. Performers are responsible for their own property.

Variety Nights | Note by Note
NOTE by NOTE
NOTE by NOTE is a music showcase presenting audiences with a variety of genres at this free evening of fun. Each month, bands, duos, and soloists will play their own blends of music for your listening pleasure. Come enjoy a wide range of music styles including rock, folk, Celtic, Americana, Blues, Jazz, Country, experimental, Western, and more!
Game Night

Whether you are feeling a bit competitive or just looking for some good old fun, grab a friend, or two, to join you at Game Night. Main Street will be filled with tailgate games, table top games, life size games and more. Play for fun or go for gold!
Movies on Main
October 11 – The Book of Life
Lights, Camera, Action for Movies on Main on Main Street. This all ages friendly evening features classic films, movie inspired activities and food trucks. Don’t forget your favorite blanket or chair to complete your movie watching experience.
Revved Up
September 13
Hop in your wheels and cruise on over to Old Town Newhall for Revved Up. Support the Santa Clarita car scene at this local car meet up open to all types of vehicles. Enjoy the sights of clean lines, the sounds as engines roar and smells of pure exhaust as fast cars, classic cars and everything in between line Main Street.

SENSES Block Party | Art Reception
Art Receptions
The Arts and Events Office will be hosting an ongoing exhibit showcasing a different artist each month. The art pieces will be displayed in the lobby of The MAIN.
An individual artist will be showcased each month, and the exhibit will be available for viewing during all events as well as Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Participating artists will be given the opportunity to host a reception on the 3rd Thursday of the month their art is showcased.
SENSES Block Party
The wildly popular SENSES Block Party brings live music, food trucks, themed activities, and adult beverages to Main Street every Third Thursday from March to October. Grab a drink from the on street bar (hosted by 8th and Rail, El Trocadero, or Newhall Refinery), dance the night away to high energy performers, and order a bite from the food trucks or local restaurants. Don’t miss this fun and festive adult setting right here in Santa Clarita.

ARTree Speaker Series | New Heights
ARTree Speaker Series
The ARTree Speaker Series presents fascinating lectures plus free-form discussions with influential artists and leaders who bring art, arts education, and exceptional projects to the diverse Santa Clarita Valley community. Speakers will inspire and motivate your appetite for creativity. It is held January to October on the fourth Thursday of every other month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. FREE Admission.
New Heights Artist Development Series
The City of Santa Clarita is proud to present New Heights, a series of FREE workshops, panel discussions, and lectures designed specifically to engage creative individuals, no matter what level of experience. The sessions will help artists and performers expand their knowledge while learning valuable tools to increase success. A total of five sessions will be presented in 2018 as part of the Thursdays@Newhall series. Each program will take place at The MAIN in Old Town Newhall, which is located at 24266 Main Street, Newhall, CA 91321. Every other month.
