What is “Sick Building Syndrome”?
Homes and buildings can make you sick. It’s called “Sick Building Syndrome” (SBS), and if you have family members that are prone to respiratory issues, or have asthma, then “Sick Building Syndrome” can be a very serious health problem.
It all starts with poor air quality in your home, and what makes your home a sick home. Indoor air pollution occurs when certain air pollutants from particles and gases contaminate the air in your home. Inefficient practices such as chemical toxins, pesticides, gases, mites, and molds are entering your home every day, and the more exposure to them, you will have a greater risk for developing the health problems.
The good news is that you have control over the air quality entering your home. You can take precautions with the type and the amount of pollutants entering your home. You can also control the amount of clean air exchange for your home by installing a high-performance ventilation system. A good way to start is to upgrade your cleaning supplies, pesticides, by switching to environmentally safe products. Another great way is to eliminate germ carrying critters and rodents from entering your home via the attic.
As for your air quality, new improvements in insulation and air filtration products are making a dramatic improvement for your family’s lifestyle. If you or anyone in your family suffers from allergies, or asthma, you may want to consider the installation of the new “Pure Safety High Performance” wall, attic, and crawl space insulation. These new insulation products are approved by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), which means that these insulation products are certified to be more suitable for those with asthma or allergies. Don’t hesitate; have your attic inspected today.
Pure Safety® insulation is the world’s first building insulation product to earn and receive the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America’s certification to be more suitable for those with asthma or allergies. Certified asthma and allergy friendly®
