A Note From the Publishers – September 2018
WISH Education Foundation brings us another way to support local children with their fourth annual Cocktails on the Roof, and this year is sure to be another hit! Back by popular demand, this rooftop party invites guests to vote for their favorite signature cocktail. Other favorite features of the event are back this year, including hours of dancing under the stars and great food. Cheers to another fabulous evening of fundraising! See story on page 15.
Each year, September 11 is a day to remember those who serve our country, as well as the values that bind us all together in this great country. HandsOn SCV is hosting their 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance on Saturday, September 8. Be sure to take a look at the program on page 14.
Bridge to Home are taking their Soup for the Soul event up a notch, in fact this year they will be on the parking structure rooftop in Old Town Newhall. Enjoy the amazing views of the entire Santa Clarita while enjoying fabulous food, wine and desserts on Saturday, October 13th. Bridge to Home provides support services for the homeless.
L.A.R.C. Ranch is inviting the entire community to The Magic of L.A.R.C., on Sunday, October 14th in a fundraiser packed with great food, fun, games, dancing and of course magic. Don’t miss this one! See page 33 for more information.
In this issue, we are pleased to announce the 2018 class of SCV’s 40 Under Forty nominees. If you know one of the emerging leaders featured this year, we encourage you to support them by attending the annual awards gala at the Hyatt Regency Valencia on November 17. We are proud to be partners of this event, which acts as a springboard for young professionals in the local business, political and non-profit communities. See story on page 6.
Once you’ve had your fill of community fun, you may need a little R&R at home. Make your space your sanctuary with our Home & Garden Directory. And for those still in the midst of wedding season, we have a Bridal Guide that features local professionals you can trust to make your big day the perfect day.
