The SCV Education Foundation proudly presents Principal for a Day
Business leaders, community members and parents are invited to spend the morning shadowing a local public-school principal or district administrator by registering for the upcoming Principal for a Day event, sponsored by the SCV Education Foundation. The event is scheduled for Friday, October 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Participants will spend the morning with a Principal or Administrator of their choice from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Lunch will follow at 11:30 a.m., with all principals, district administrators, and sponsors attending. During our luncheon, we will be inducting Tom Lee and Donna Avila into the SCV Education Foundation Hall of Fame. Tom Lee is being recognized as a Legacy recipient of the Hall of Fame. He was the Founding Chairman of the SCV Education Committee in 1984. Donna Avila, worked for the City of Santa Clarita until earlier this year and was an integral part of connecting businesses, government and schools for numerous years.
Participants have the best chance of being matched with their first or second school choice by registering as soon as possible. The tax-deductible donation to be a Principal for a Day are: $150 for an elementary or junior high principal, $300 for a high school principal and $450 for a superintendent.
