Tis’ The Season of Giving

 Right here in Santa Clarita, nestled in between golden hills and purple mountains lies a sanctuary called The Gentle Barn. It is home to horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, llamas, emus, dogs, cats, donkeys, and even a parrot. These rescued animals had nowhere to go before coming home to The Gentle Barn because they were too old, too lame, too scared, or too sick to be adopted by anyone else. Once arrived at the barn, they are given vet care and many other healing modalities to repair their broken bodies and shattered hearts. Once rehabilitated, if they cannot find a home of their own, they are given sanctuary at The Gentle Barn for the rest of their lives.
With over 200 rescued animals, The Gentle Barn is in need of donations to start 2019 strong, and to continue to fulfill the promise of a good life to our animal residence. Your end of the year, tax deductible donations, of any amount will help us build and maintain secure fencing for our pigs and cows, winterize the barn for our birds and goats, purchase hay, pay for vet care, and enable us to rescue many more animals who have nowhere else to go. Once the animals are happy and healthy, we partner with them to heal people with the same stories of abuse and neglect as the animals. The Gentle Barn is home to animals rescued from abuse and neglect, and host to school field trips, private tours, and groups of children with special needs. We are open to the public every Sunday from 10-2 so you can hug cows, cuddle turkeys, give pigs tummy rubs, feed horses carrots, pet goats and sheep, and hear their stories of resilience.
