Sisters Boutique Flowers and Things – Meet the ladies creating unique flower arrangements and so much more!
Sisters, Carmen and Grace have loved flowers for as long as they can remember… and for the past year the ladies h ave been creating unique arrangements with their own “sisters” twist.
“The fragrant ones really get me, like Gardenia’s and vines like Jasmine–I also love Hydrangea,” says Grace. Then Carmen adds, “I love to introduce people to my favorites like peonies, paperwhites and amaryllis… I really love amaryllis.
I was happy to catch up with the sisters to see what they have been up to, as well as learn about the exciting new things at the shop.
“We now offer gift wrapping with flowers, beautiful and exotic succulents, airplants, botanicals, and geodes! We are also working with some of our local artists specializing in bamboo, live edge wood, and blown glass. All these make wonderful gifts and work so wonderfully with our floral designs,” said Carmen.
Grace was especially excited to share the growth of their creative community with hands-on workshops, hopefully ready to begin this summer. “We want to create a space where people can come and share their ideas, learn how to do floral wrapping, or create primitive pottery. The sky is the limit and that brings us so much joy!”
In the coming year Carmen and Grace are looking forward to working on storefront design and creating a competition out of it.
“The idea is to engage our people, clients or not. We want everyone to feel welcome here, a sense of peace here, and a chance to express themselves by being involved,” said Carmen.
Sisters Boutique Flowers and Things is a beautiful centerpiece at the Canyon Center, located at 19419 Soledad Canyon Road. Owners Carmen and Grace take great pride in creating the exact vision and budget each client requests, whether they are a regular or calling to have something delivered locally. They have daily “wild bunch” specials as well as weekly deals. You can find and follow them on Facebook for more information.
Sisters Boutique Flowers and Things is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can reach Carmen, Grace or any of their wonderful staff at 661-252-9144.
