A Passion for Authenticity – Nina Tran shares Traditional Vietnamese Food at Pho Sure
Where some countries may be known for eclectic new dishes and modern culinary techniques, Vietnam is best known for its age-old recipes and traditional preparations. Pho (pronounced fer) is a national staple that is made with flat rice noodles, a warming broth and usually chicken or beef. The flavor of this comforting noodle soup can vary greatly across the country, but you can season it with sauces, herbs and spices so you can enjoy it exactly how you like it. It’s a very versatile dish that showcases the simplicity and complexity of Vietnamese food.
Located on Copperhill Drive across from the Tesoro homes, Pho Sure has been bringing mouth-watering authentic Vietnamese cuisine to Santa Clarita for 15 years. Owner Nina Tran is a first generation American from Vietnam and she enjoys introducing new customers to some of her favorite dishes.
For all the foodies new to eating Pho, Nina can offer this advice, “a bowl of Pho will include a protein like beef or chicken settled in a lovely meat-based broth. We offer basil, lime, bean sprouts and peppers that can be added to the bowl at your discretion. Many people like to add Hoison sauce or hot sauce to the broth. You can also keep a side dish of sauces for dipping. There really is no right, or wrong way to eat Pho, just enjoy!”
Pho Sure Valencia is located at 23076 Copper Hill Drive in Valencia. They are open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and you can reach them at 661-257-3888. View the menu online at phosurevalencia.com.
