Mother’s Day
On May 12, we are celebrating Mother’s Day at The Gentle Barn in the barnyard among all our Gentle mommies. We will have gifts and cards for purchase, Field Roast for lunch, cows giving hugs, turkeys giving cuddles, pigs rolling over for belly rubs, and our funny animal characters making all of us laugh. It will be a day of fun, family, friends, and Magic.
We have many animal moms who we rescued pregnant and gave birth at The Gentle Barn, or moms who we rescued with tiny nursing babies. Our sheep Fawn gave birth to twins only weeks after we saved her. The trio now sunbathes, eats, meditates, and plays together. Our cow Lucy adopted an orphaned baby and loved him so much that her body produced milk for him. Lucy now nurses Ferdinand three times a day. And our donkey Hope has two baby girls she cares for as she recovers from her past and learns to trust people.
Please come celebrate your mom and our moms on May 12th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and fill your heart with unconditional love. Go to www.gentlebarn.org for tickets and more information.
If you would like to sponsor any of these animals or one of the many other rescued animals at The Gentle Barn, please visit gentlebarn.org/animals this also makes a wonderful Mothers Day gift!
The Gentle Barn is a national organization that rescues animals from neglect and abuse, and once healed partners with them to inspire people with the same stories, and connects children to the love and magic of animals and nature. The Gentle Barn is open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and hosts private tours, school field trips, and groups of at risk, inner city, and special needs kids.
