Alzheimer’s Awareness… The Longest Day
In the United States, more than five million people are afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease. Because of this, the Alzheimer’s Association holds multiple fundraising opportunities each year, which help support Alzheimer’s research, care, advocacy and awareness efforts.
June 21, 2019, the summer solstice, is the longest day of the year. On this day, the Alzheimer’s Association invites people from all over the world to find creative ways to raise funds in support of their mission. On The Longest Day, participants utilize skills such as arts and crafts, baking and cooking, music, exercise and much more to cultivate awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.
