Big News From Trinity Classical Academy
Trinity Classical Academy has closed escrow on the purchase of nine acres and a 48,000 sq. ft. building for their permanent campus. Trinity Classical Academy has announced the purchase of 9 acres and a 48,000 sq. ft. building on the site of their present campus in the Rye Canyon Business Park in Valencia.
“After being long-term tenants at four different facilities over our 18 years, we are thrilled to finally own our own campus. In addition to having a beautiful permanent home, in the years to come we look forwaard to building our own gymnasium, additional science labs, classrooms, arts facilities, office space and special education classrooms,” says Liz Caddow, Trinity Classical Academy founder and Head of School.
Trinity Classical Academy has been a renter at the NorthPark Community Church for 10 years and purchased 9 of the 11 acres for $14.8 million. The purchase includes the existing 48,000 sq. ft. building as well as the ability to build an additional 46,000 sq. ft. facility.
Trinity Classical Academy was founded in 2001 with 28 students in grades K-2nd. Trinity now serves 565 students in grades TK-12th. Educating through a unique classical, Christian methodology, Trinity is among the top-10 classical, Christian schools in America and is ranked No.20 in Best Christian Schools in California by Niche.com.
Trinity’s rigorous course of study includes a study of the Great Books, ancient through modern history, philosophy, classical writing, rhetoric, Latin, advanced science and math, fine art and music culminating in a challenging Senior Thesis, which each student presents to the community. The distinguished faculty includes eight PhDs and 30 teachers holding a master’s degree or higher.
Initially known for its excellent curriculum in the humanities, Trinity has recently established itself as a premier institution for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math with nearly half of graduates pursuing STEM and related fields at the university level. Trinity has recently entered into a strategic partnership with the Alfred Mann Foundation to prepare students for the field of medical device technology with hands-on experience at their state-of-the-art laboratories.
To date, Trinity has 221 graduates, all of which have been accepted to a four-year college or university. Acceptances include some of the most distinguished universities in the country including Princeton, Columbia, Dartmouth, Stanford, Duke, Johns Hopkins, UCLA and USC. In the past five years, Trinity has also had five students attend the US Service Academies with an appointment to the US Military Academy at West Point, the US Naval Academy and three to the US Air Force Academy. Ten percent of Trinity graduates have gone on to play a sport at the university level and many have received scholarships to pursue music, theater, and design.
“Owning our campus enables us to better serve our current students and build for the future of those students that continue to come to Trinity. It provides for the future of our partner schools on our campus, The Imago Dei special education school and Libertas Preparatory School for independent study,” says Caddow.
“We are so very thankful to our Trinity family and friends and the Santa Clarita community for their tremendous support of our school throughout the years. The dedication, encouragement and financial support of the Trinity family has enabled us to establish a now permanent home where Trinity can continue to educate for generations to come.”
